What Is Milling?

Milling is the process of carefully scraping off the damaged asphalt layer by layer using a specially designed milling machine. Our asphalt milling specialists will methodically remove the section of asphalt layer by layer to the required depth and sweep that area clean of old asphalt. A premium heated asphalt tack emulsion is then applied so the new layers of asphalt installed will adhere to the surface. 

Once the asphalt tack has been precisely applied, our milling experts will install fresh asphalt and blend it seamlessly into the surrounding existing asphalt. We then compact the asphalt and apply any striping needed.
